Delfshaven is a neighbourhood full of cultural heritage where people with different social and cultural identities come and go, reside, work, live and go out together. This festival respects this way of life.
In the run-up to, during and after the festival we therefore work within a culture of mutual respect. Expressions of intimidation, discrimination, sexism or other disrespectful behaviour have no place here. Everyone is welcome and must feel welcome. We, or the police, will remove people who behave disrespectfully from festival events and locations.
If you witness disrespectful behaviour, inform the people of Delfshaven400. In case of an emergency call 112 immediately.
The Delfshaven400 festival was supposed to take place from Thursday 17 July to Sunday 9 August 2020. However, even with the announced relaxing of restrictions, we cannot continue Delfshaven400 as we had in mind.
However, we focus on what we can do and that is to to tell the story of four centuries coming and going in a slimmed-down form over the next few months. Discover the full programme.
In the summer of 2021, the festival will continue with themed weekends as was originally the plan. As soon as the exact dates are known, we will let you know.
Opening weekend | Contemplation Weekend | Family weekend | Historic weekend
Delfshaven400 takes place in Historical Delfshaven. For all venues see the map.
Several parts of Delfshaven400 are certainly suitable for children. Check out which ones in the programme.
NB: In 2021 there will be a special Family Weekend. We will inform you as soon as the dates are known.
